Det ble rikelig med tid til å studere naturen og andre båter under årets Færder seilas. Nærmere 30 grader i luften og
26 grader i vannet ga ikke den helt store seilvinden. NOR 11703 startet jerngenoaen kl 8.00 etter å ha drevet sidlengs
gjennom Drøbaksundet i 1 knops fart...

May 17!
The first time ever we spent May 17 in kayaks
instead of being in the mountains skiing. A trip around the in the media now much
discussed Bolærene, being sold to Smiths venner by the Ministry of Defence.
We had planned to camp on Bolærene, but found smaller islands in the vicinity
being more idyllic. On the last day, May 17, the wind increased to 12 m/s and made
it a bit streneous to paddle, so we had a long lunch at Kjøleholmen before heading
home.

Folgefonna, May 2002:
The without doubt best skiing starts after Easter holiday! May 16-20, DOT Fjellsportgruppe
went skiing from north to south on Folgefonna, with the final destination in Rosendal. Several days
with fantastic weather, celebrating May 17 on top of the glacier!

Winter:
Spring is evolving outdoor. Sunny and warm days, trees getting green, bikes out on the road
again - what could then be better than
beeing reminded about the cold and dark of mid winter? Skiing in Blefjell and
climbing in Rjukan.

Hvaler - July 2000:
Lots of mussels on this weekend-trip to Hvaler.

Jotunheimen - July 2001:
Camped close to the road going to Leirvassbu, and spent a few days on the northern parts of Smørstabreen.

Demmevasshytta - July 2003:
We were supposed to be two more, but Lars-Erik and Runar did not make it. We waited for a night
and morning, and started to get a bit worried, but they had returned to Finse at 0300 after being stopped
by a rapid river at Ramnaberget. Despite of this, we had five days with wonderful weather at
Demmevasshytta, refreshing our skills and having a lot of fun!

Snøhuletur - March 2000:
The first trip ever with the KOT
25-35 group. Saturday started out with lovely weather and we easily found a perfect location for the snow
caves close to Middalsbreen. Before finishing the caves we made a trip to Jøkulhytta. Well settled in
the caves, dinner was made and an Arctic fox was attracted by the smell and came very close!

of the most spectacular glaciers in Jotunheimen.
